9 Year old helps the Dragons roar

Each year the Dragons aim to take part in as many football events as they can. Since our early days we have always had a kit that was put together by searching the various shops online and on the high street’s. Purchasing a kit with matching colours between socks, shorts and shirts was always a nice challenge. We have had all sorts of kits, from the bright yellows and neon pinks to a very daring red, white, black and green kit. This year the Dragons were approached by sportswear company Raging Bull, and a new partnership was formed.

Raging Bull short

With Raging Bull onboard we got to design our very own kit and the founders started looking at some designs. It was then that Co-Founder Steven Roberts had the idea of holding a competition to design our kit. Aimed at children and teenagers aged 6 – 16 we released the competition across our hit social media websites and to local schools. At the end of the competition the founders had to look through hundreds of entries and sort out which designs would make our team stand out. We had all types of artwork sent through with colourful tie-dye effects and scenes from popular films and tv shows. It was out of all these designs that three designs were chosen to be shown to three of the top entrepreneurs of the UK. Out of the three a unanimous decision was made and our new kit was chosen.

The Dragons and Bethan

Designed by 9-year-old Bethan Watkins, the kit was unveiled at the Dragons Invitational Event on June 8th.  Bethan was presented with her very own kit by Raging Bull as she led the team out to their first match of the day against Barclay’s Bank. Accompanied by her parents, Bethan also presented the trophy to the winners of the day at the end of the tournament. We can’t thank Bethan enough for her design and we look forward to wearing it with pride for our future events.

The kit is now available to purchase from our website along with all of our other clothing range available from our preferred kit supplier Raging Bull Sportswear

Until next time
