North Wales Dragons ~ Ddreigiau Gogledd Cymru
The North Wales Dragons were formed in 2009 with a view to raise money through holding football entertainment days. The first ever game was held at Llanelian Road, home of Colwyn Bay F.C. where the guest of honour was the most successful Everton manager in history; Howard Kendall.
The Dragons name is going from strength to strength, attracting interest from the world over, with requests from people wanting to play for us from as far away as Ghana.
We do what we do because we love football. We make no profits at all and charities benefit from everyone who gets involved efforts.
After the success of the 2009 Celtic Challenge Trophy game and evenings entertainment, we are delighted to announce that the 2010 chosen charity will be Help For Heroes. Currently, there is no better charity that we would be more pleased to lend our support to, with some of our Dragons knowing people who are currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as knowing some who have been wounded. All the money raised will be split between Help for Heroes and Boots for Africa.
